HNPCs are initiated by dissecting fetal brain tissue and digestion with collagenase. RFP expressing HNPCs (RFP-HNPCs) are selected from RFP expressing lentiviruses infected HNPCs. RFP-HNPCs are offered in frozen vial format (the cells are provided @ passage 2). RFP-HNPCs growth medium is recommended for cell culture and these cells have a minimum average population doubling capacity 6 when cultured following the detailed protocol described below.

Human dopaminergic neuronal cells are isolated from fetal brain tissue obtained from agencies authorized to procure and distribute tissues for research. Dopaminergic neuronal cells are selected in tyrosine free medium supplemented with a mixture of growth factors. Actively growing population of cells are tested for tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) expression by immunocytochemistry. RFP-Expressing Human dopaminergic neuronal cells (RFP-HDaNCs) are selected by puromycin after HDaNCs are infected with lentiviruses expressing RFP. Cells are provided with more than 5x10[5] cells/ vial at passage 2. The cells are grown in regular tissue culture dishes and subcultured at a split ratio of 1 to 2 at confluence. We recommend not to use the cells beyond 4 passages. There may be a significant decrease in the number of tyrosine hydroxylase positive cells after 4 passages as they are not maintained in selective medium to allow the growth of only cells expressing tyrosine hydroxylase.

HLiStCs are initiated by hepatic artery perfusion digestion with collagenase. HLiStCs are separated from the mixture of hepatic sinusoidal MV endothelial cells and Kupffer cells in the digestion solution. RFP-HLiStCs are selected from Zeocin resistant HLiStCs after infected with RFP expressing lentiviral particles. The cells are shipped in frozen vials (the cells are provided @ passage 3). Stellate-Growth medium is recommended for cell culture and these cells have a minimum average population doubling capacity 8 when cultured following the detailed protocol described below.

HRMPCs are initiated by elutriation from dissociated normal human retinal tissue and transfected with RFP-Lentiviral particles at passage 2. Zeocin resistant RPF-HRMPCs were selected and shipped in frozen vials (the cells are provided @ passage 4-5). Pericytes growth medium is recommended for cell culture and these cells have an average population doubling capacity 6 when cultured following the detailed protocol described below.

HAdMSCs are isolated from lipoaspirate derived from white adipose tissue and demonstrated with spindle-shaped-, and fibroblast-like cells. RFP-HAdMSCs are puromycin resistant HAdMSCs after trandsfected with lentiviruses expressing RFP under the control of CMV protomer. Each lot of RFP-HAdMSCs is tested to ensure the cells can be passaged at least three times (i.e., approximately 9 to 10 population doublings) after thaw in complete growth media (Mesenchymal Stem Cell Growth Medium (MSCGM)), when cultured following the detailed protocol described below.

RFP-HBMMSCs are selected from puromycin resistant HBMMSCs after transfected with RFP expressing lentiviral particles. RFP-HBMMSCs are supplied in cryovials at passage 3-4. Each lot of RFP-HBMMSCs is tested to ensure the cells can be passaged at least for three times (i.e., approximately 9 to 10 population doublings) after thaw. RFP-HBMMSCs should be maintained in complete growth media (Mesenchymal Stem Cell Growth Medium (MSCGM)) following the detailed protocol described below.
